(International Journal of Energy Research, Nuclear Science & Technology: 2.9%; International Communications in Heat and Mass Transfer, Mechanics: 5.1%; Case Studies in Thermal Engineering, Thermodynamics: 7.9%; International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer, Mechanics: 12.4%; International Journal of Thermal Sciences, Thermodynamics: 19%)。
Research focus
Thanks to Chung Yuan Christian University for providing me with teaching opportunities so that I can show my talents on this stage. Since joining the Department of Mechanical Engineering of Chung Yuan Christian University in February 2010, I have devoted myself to research in heat flow and energy-related fields. Since the laboratory is still in its infancy, it requires a lot of effort and time in terms of setting up equipment and resources. Nonetheless, it is believed that these inputs will provide a solid foundation for future research. The net-zero carbon emission in 2050 is the consensus and goal of global energy development, and countries are vigorously promoting the development of renewable energy and actively researching a key technology of hydrogen energy. In order to cope with the development of national energy policies, my research direction has also been adjusted accordingly, with the purpose of cultivating more professional talents and helping to promote the diversified development of the industry. In addition to continuing the topics of membrane humidification for a Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell (PEMFC), new membrane dehumidifiers for refrigeration air conditioning systems, and boiling heat transfer applications conducted by the Research Center of Energy Conservation(RCEC) for New Generation of Residential, Commercial, and Industrial Sectors from the National Taipei University of Technology, the current academic research focuses on vacuum microwave drying and energy saving, solar distillation technology, nanofluid heat transfer characteristics, etc. These research areas not only have practical application value but are also closely related to current energy and environmental needs. I have always maintained a serious work attitude and a positive research spirit. Through the publication of papers in international journals, I have been able to present my research results and further expand the academic community's recognition and support. In recent years, most of the research results have been published in international journals in the field of heat flow and energy (International Journal of Energy Research, Nuclear Science & Technology: 2.9%; International Communications in Heat and Mass Transfer, Mechanics: 5.1%; Case Studies in Thermal Engineering, Thermodynamics: 7.9 %; International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer, Mechanics: 12.4%; International Journal of Thermal Sciences, Thermodynamics: 19%).
Experience sharing
Being a university teacher has four basic tasks: teaching, research, service, and advising. However, in the actual world, we often appear exhausted in teaching and feel somewhat overwhelmed in research work. As a university teacher, we have to apply for National Science and Technology Council or Academia-Industry projects every year. After the project is approved, we need to have the manpower to implement it, and the research results after implementation need to be further published. Relatively speaking, private universities have relatively little funding and human resources, so breaking through in the research field is not an easy challenge. First of all, we must confirm our research goals and then plan the funds and manpower as a whole. The source of funds is mainly through the competition for research projects. I believe everyone is familiar with the saying, "You can't make bricks without straw. " It is difficult to support research work in the long term without a budget. The biggest impact on university education now is the sub-replacement fertility. Manpower can be cultivated long-term starting from the implementation of special topics by junior students, and the students can be persuaded to stay in CYCU for their graduate school. In addition, it is also an art to synthesize the results of academic research into a scientific paper in an international journal. To submit a paper, we must be resilient, be more courageous to overcome setbacks and keep working hard to move forward. Finally, now is no longer the time to fight alone, but teamwork is king. Academic research is a long and difficult road that tests our enthusiasm and persistence. As walking on this never-ending academic road, please never forget our original intention. Above, I would like to encourage everyone.
